I have been blessed to play music and sing with some of the most talented and beautiful people around the world, and who have gifted me with exquisite memories.

                                                                                  Eterna gratitud.

"Terra Coda" was a name we gave to a musical group we formed in Rio de Janeiro with Marcos Vela on lead guitar and vocals,Tetê Capell on percussion, Eduardo Falero on percussion, Zezito Cavaco on cavaquinho, and me on vocals and guitar. (1999-2000)

In 2003, my friend, Salim Farah and I formed a band with the Henoud  brothers to play some shows. to play a show in a larger program featuring Laurier students and instructors in the Maureen Forraster Hall in Kitchener. The tracks below are from the 2004 show. Terrific Lebanese rhythms fusingwith the Latin folklore, ballads and rhythms.

A more intimate show in 2003 included Tony Hansen and David Hansen and basist and a drummer from the Annunciation Church band from Hamilton.

One of the first collaborations I have been blessed to work with was with the very talented keyboardist and good-hearted person, Tony Hansen. We met in a church youth group in the 1980s, a setting which was an answer to my prayers ... to be able to sing to the Lord and praise God through song and music. Tony and I had an affitnity for writing music and creating resonances of word and sound that set the heart and soul aflight. We wrote many songs together, including the one below titled "Thee". We often gathered inspiration from literature...this one from Kahlil Gibran and Shakespeare.

Thee: Original by M. Figueredo and Tony Hansen (with performance by the Leslie Spit Trio)

Sound quality

Disclaimer: the sound is a little "vintage" on this track as it was a transfer from the original cassette I have in my files, that was recorded and mastered at McClear Pathé Studio in Toronto. We will soon see if a re-mastered version can be made available.
