Maria has led several musical folk groups and performed with other musicians and singers, poets and dancers locally and internationally for decades.

Concierto: Benefit for Students, Dec. 2012
Hosted by the Asociación de Profesores Hispano-Canadienses (APH-C), the objective of this event was to raise funds for scholarships for Hispanic heritage students of Toronto. The artistic event included oral storytelling, cultural presentations, Latino youth rap and dance group Encontrarse, and other musical performances, including my contribution of singing and guitar playing of folkloric Latin American music.

Independence Day Festivities, Consulate of Uruguay
Performed poetry and song (voice and guitar) in an event organized by La Comisión 25 de Agosto integrated by the Uruguayan groups (Consejo Consultivo, Mano con Mano y Grupo Solidario Ibiray) and sponsored by the Consulate General of Uruguay on the occasion of the Declaration of Independence in Uruguay. Casa Maíz Community Centre, 1280 Finch Street, Toronto. 24 Aug. 2012.

Adelaide's Got Talent
I performed on voice and guitar three Latin American and Spanish popular ballads in the Annual Adelaide Club music night. Hosted by Blair Lyon and Casey Tuninga, with Zac Werner, Canadian Idol Judge. 12 Feb. 2012. Adelaide Club, Toronto.

 

Amores Concert
Performed Spanish and Latin American poems and songs (on guitar and voice) by invitation to the Asociación de Profesores Hispanos-Canadienses ’annual teaching forum, “VI Jornada de Educación.” OISE/University of Toronto. 13 Feb. 2010.​
